FIREPROOF....

This has been a fun week so far. Kevin came home last Friday and was supposed to leave on Sunday. I kept telling him he was not leaving and he insisted that he was.....I WIN!!! Much to his surprise there was an ice storm headed to the part of Oklahoma that he is working. He has been here since then. I get so excited when we get to spend extended amounts of time together, I wish so badly that we could live like this all the time. I know that God has our best interest at heart and in HIS time K will find a new job that will allow him to be home.

So this past week I had a snow day at school, which I was confused about considering I didn't see any sleet or snow until today and we had school today. Kinda backwards I thought! Oh well, being off yesterday was fun. Kevin and I watched the movie FIREPROOF!!! Can I just say this was the best movie and the sleeves on my shirt were soaking wet with tears. I highly recommend this movie. We also played a lot of Wii. Kevin loves bowling, but hates the fact that I hold the record. HAHA!! Hope every one is staying warm.

Funny things my kids have said.......

I have been wanting to write about some of the funny things that my kids say in the classroom. They are so funny and I want to remember everything, but I have fallen behind. These are some of the funny things that I can remember over the past few years.

1. "I know the difference between snowmen and snowwomen.......SNOW BALLS!"
(This one was shouted out as I was being observed by my principal)

2. "Miss. McKnight do you have your cell phone?" (a child shouts from the bathroom)
"Yes, why do you need it" He says, "you need to call my mom this is horrible"

3. "My mom is about to get married" I asked how she knew that she said, "well they kiss
all time at least a hundred times"

4. "Mrs. Strom do you and Kevin sleep in the same bed"

5. "Miss McKnight, look at those great legs."

6. A little boy shared during share time, "I think you should know I'm about to be married, but
my parents haven't decided who the girl will be just yet."

7. As I had a guest reader one of my children God bless his soul shouts to the reader, "YOUR A
HEAD."

8. 2 boys sitting at the table eating lunch this is what they were talking about:
"I really like ______ mom's boobs"
I happened to be walking by and asked the 2 boys what boobs were they said,
"you know those things girl get and pointed to my chest"

9. "Mrs. Strom my mom just got enraged" Her mother had gotten engaged

10. "Miss McKnight are you having nap today?" asked a boy
"yes, we have nap ever day"
"oh man, every time you turn those lights off I want to play with my penis"

These are just a few I will post more later when I can remember some more! Have a great day!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!! Kevin and I had our first Christmas as married couple and it was fabulous. I have always spent the night with my parents on Christmas eve and being married was no different. Kevin and I loaded up and went to my parents to stay the night. This is the 2nd Christmas Kevin has gotten to be a part of my Christmas traditions. This year we were able to sleep in the same bed!!! HAHA Some people say I need to grow and start staying at my own house. Well, they can get over it....I am an only child and so if I didn't spend Christmas with my parents who would????? My mom never spent a Christmas away from her parents either until they passed away. I will be no different!!!
On Christmas eve my dad loves to take us on a tour of the Benton/Bryant area to look at Christmas lights. We drove through the courthouse and by where we used to live in Bryant. It was so fun to share these memories with my new husband.
New Years was fun also, Kevin was working in Eureka Springs so I went up to stay with him. When he is working out of town they stay in a luxurious 5th wheel. I am not kidding it really is nice. 2 bedroom 2 bath with all the amenities. We went to dinner and then it was back to the 5th wheel to ring in the New Year!!! It was low key and just perfect for Kevin and me.
I was so sad that 2008 was over to be honest. I had the best year of my life. I can't wait to see what 2009 has in store.
