Forth of July!

This is my parents house on July 4th. I blogged in my last blog about how my mom is obsessed with her flags. I wanted to post a pic so everyone could enjoy her Forth of July spirit. I am wearing my red and white striped pants and my blue shirt in honor of the holiday. I hope to post some more pics from our adventures tonight with the fireworks.

July (My Birthday Month)

I love July. Everything about July is fun. It starts off with the 4th of July. Every year my mom is over the top about the 4th. She decorates their yard with hundreds of American Flags. They each have to to evenly spaced. It is really cute. My my mom's side of the family gets together for a cookout. I am sad to say that Kevin and I will not be joining them this year, because they are doing it at night. We usually do it during the day. Kevin and I started a tradition 2 years ago with some of our friends. We go to Triple D florist in Maumelle...(our friends family owns this business) we crowd the parking lot with friends and fireworks. We will grill there also. Maumelle has the best fireworks...no offense to LR, but Maumelle's are way better in my opinion. We block off the parking lot so we are able to allow the VIP's in. HA HA I can't wait for all the fun!!
My birthday is also in 25 days. I love my birthday and every year my friends tease me because I celebrate my birthday all month..no really just for a week. I do like to have a party every night that week. So, if you are reading this and you would like to attend just let me know. I have told Kevin that since he came along my birthday hasn't been that important as it needs to be. I said if he wanted to have a surprise party for me that would be great and I would send out the Evite. Just kidding! I hope everyone is having a wonderful fun summer. I am looking forward to next school year. I just bought some stuff for my room!!! Never can be too prepared. Blessings!

I love summer!!

Kevin and I are having so much this summer. We are loving living in the same house all the time. I feel that I have been very productive so far this summer. Last week I was very committed to getting my house clean and in order. I also went to lunch with my friend Holly! My parents bought me a laptop for my birthday and so mom and I went and picked one out last week. I love it!!! This week I have been hanging out with friends and shopping not really something I should be doing, but it has been really fun.

Kevin is loving his new job and loves being home with his sweet wife....haha. When he comes home from work I have tried to have some sort of dinner prepared....I don't cook, but I will say I am trying!!! He hasn't been going hungry and he seems to like what I have been making. I tell him to tell me the truth and so far I have been getting rave reviews. I hope everyone is having a blessed day!!!

1 MORE DAY.....

Until school is out!!!! I am so excited. We had pre-K graduation on Tuesday and it was fabulous. We had it at our church and there were over 200 people there. I made a slide show and I was proud if I do say so myself. I will post a few slides from the show. I love these little people, but I am so ready for summer. Kevin started his new job on Monday and he seems to like it. It is so different since he has worked outside for all these years. I love it because everyday I come home from work knowing he will be there shortly after. I feel like married life has just started.

Great News!!!!

Kevin has a new job!!!! Since Kevin and I started dating about 3 years ago he has worked building log homes. This job has required a lot of travel so he is only home for a weekend every now and then. Well finally he has been offered a job with Clear Channel and he will be home full time. This is a major answer to many many prayers. I am so happy and can't wait to start this new journey! I am very proud of him and I hope he loves his new job.!!! This well be an adjustment since I have my routines down, so we need to buy another big screen cause I am not sure how he will like watching all my shows. HAHA!!

American Idol Final 3...

Well tonight is Idol and I am so excited. I can't wait to see the hometown visits. I know that Kris' will be amazing. I was shocked at how many people came to all of his events. I wish I would have gone, but oh well. I am getting my fingers ready for the big vote tonight!!! Last week I voted more times than I ever have...lets just say it was in the thousands. I learned how to text like fifty at one time. I hope everyone will vote tonight!!!

The countdown begins.....

17 days until school is out!!!! This time of year I get so excited because summer break is about to start. It seems like yesterday that I started teaching and I am about to finish my 5th year. I said that once I had taught a grade five years I would move to another one. Well, that is not going to happen. I love Pre-K and I feel that after five years I am just now getting the hang of things. My kids this year have been really good and they have taught me many things about patience...haha!! No, all in all they have been good, and now I have to let them go. I get really nervous because they have come a long way and can do things without much assistance and when August rolls around I will be begging for them to come back because my new group will look and act so little. They will not know how to make a line, zip their pants, tie their shoes, wipe their bottoms (which I do not do), unbutton their pants, hold scissors, how to hold a lunch tray, how to say my name, how to sit criss-cross apple sauce.....i could go one forever. Needless to say it is a huge learning curve.

I think I will start praying for those little ones that will be coming to meet me in just a few short months. My mom always reminds me that these little ones are so precious and you never know what a impact you have on them. You never know how many times their parents tell them they love them or if they read to them or if they know who Jesus is. I teach at a public school and we don't teach those things, but I can pray for each one and hope that someday they will come to know the Lord and I can give them love!!!

I hope you have a wonderful week!!
