This week in my classroom we have been talking about pets. My kids have had so much talking about pets, so I decided that I would surprise them today and have them a fish for our class pet. We are supposed to have one anyway in Pre-K, but I hadn't gotten one yet this year since Bubbles Cutie passed last year. Ok, so that brings you to date. I was so excited yesterday when I went to get the Betta fish I stood there for about 20 minutes just looking them all over. I finally picked this bright royal blue male betta. He looked very active and just what I wanted. I brought him home introduced him to Kevin, talked to him all night long and he just peacefully swam. It was great! So, this morning I bring him to school put him in his new home and hid him so I could surprise the kids this was at about 8am. My class came up with several names but we finally voted on Mr. Jeremiah Bubbly! The kids were so excited....about 30 minutes later I look over and he had grown a massive amount of fuzz all over his royal blue body....GROSS! Then he was just laying at the bottom of his tank still breathing but very inactive. About 10 I went to check on him and he had died...are you kidding me...I have 20 four year olds looking up at me asking why he wasn't swimming. I told them he was taking a nap. One child yelled out "that fish is dead". I took him back to the pet store where all the others from yesterday were no longer....guess they all died too...I was trying to do a switch-a-roo on the kids. Oh well, guess I will just come clean and we will have a new fish with a new name next week. More to come!

this and that
I just got word that my dye test will be Monday morning at 8:15am. My mom was scheduled to work at the church but she is going to just go in late because she HAS to go with me. I have heard from so many people that have had this done and said that it was really not that bad so I feel a peace and I am actually looking forward to getting it over with. I will let everyone know the results when I get them! I do however, appreciate continued prayer! In other good news Kevin is PERFECT, so no problems there! That is a praise!!!
This weekend Kevin and I went to the Oaklawn. It was so much fun and there were so many people there. I have never seen it this crowded. I made a .50 cent trifecta bet and I won. I just new I had won at least $100 bucks. I ran to the counter and they lady said do you want cash or on a ticket...I said, "I'll take the cash she handed me $16.00 and said have a nice day. I laughed so hard I already had that $100 spent, guess I was wrong. Kevin said I looked so disappointed. OH WELL, my mom said that is what I get for gambling HAHA!!! She grew up in Hot Springs and never went to the races! I am not surprised if you know my mother, she doesn't believe in such things. My Aunt Ruby however was probably yelling down from heaven for her horse to win! She loved the races.
We got home in time to watch the Colts play. Kevin was super excited that they won! Now we just have to beat the Jets and then it's on to the Super Bowl. Hope everyone is having a blessed day! I feel very blessed today being that I have a roof over my head and water to drink..my heart goes out to the people of Hati!

Chick-fil-a

Those of you who know me well know that my favorite place to eat is Chick-fil-a! I have loved it since it came to Park Plaza mall when I was a kid. I have never eaten at another place in the mall and I am being serious. All the other places look great but I can't say no to Chick! So not only is the food delightful, the service is amazing. I have never gotten the wrong order and every time I go through the drive thru they are so wonderful...this is what I heard today..."it's my pleasure and Allison will meet you at the window with your order" just put a smile on my face. I think it is that southern charm that I love so much. I also love that if I want an extra sauce they don't charge me they just say sure my pleasure. I give them an 2 thumbs up!!! 1 for service and 1 for excellent food!!!
Did I really just blog about this...yep I guess I did.

Hysterosalpingogram...good times
I am going in sometime next week to have a hysterosalpingogram (hiss-sto-sal-p-no-gram). I am not very excited as I have heard this is not a very fun experience. Dr. Wyatt my doctor says that it is necessary to see if there is any blockage that could be causing Kevin and I some trouble with getting preggers. I am not trying to air all my business on my blog but at the same time I very nervous. I don't do doctors well and hospitals make me turn green the minute my feet hit the parking lot. So, I am asking for prayers mainly. I am going to be specific in my prayers:
- That they let my mom come in the room with me (i have heard they don't)
- I will not be anxious and can just relax
- that the pain will somehow someway just be slight at the worst (i have heard women would rather push out a baby than have this done)
- that I won't pass out
- that everything will turn out ok
- oh one more that I won't let the fact that several people, who don't know me, are getting to know more of me than i would like, bother me too bad! HAHA!

I will cast all my cares upon You....
Isn't it the best feeling to know that when are going through something that we don't have to do it alone? No matter how alone we feel or how burdened we might feel God is there. He promises us this...it just makes me feel good inside knowing that He knows my heart and my thoughts even better than I do and when I cry he cries with me. I found 2 verses today that I know He wanted me to see
Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy. John 16:22
And if you haven't listened to Kari Jobe lately you are missing out...get on your ipod and turn it on now. Her songs are so uplifting!
