My New Love XOXO

I got an iPhone for Valentines day! I am so excited! I have wanted one since they came out and I am kinda cheap, so I have waited and waited for my upgrade. Finally I have one! Kevin feels slightly abandoned since my new love has come to live with us....he can get over it haha! We didn't really do much for V-day, Kevin doesn't like to do much because he feels you should love your wife/husband as if everyday was Valentines day. However, he did propose on Valentines 2 years ago, because that was the one day he knew I wouldn't expect it. He was right! So really he couldn't do anything now to make Valentines more special than it was 2 years ago, so why try....well, there is one thing I would have liked, but we are still waiting on that little bundle of joy! HAHA!!! Did I mention that K got a pool table??? He has turned our garage into a "man cave" he did a really good job and it looks great. I did get to paint a hot pink line for the dart board so I put my touch on the room!

What do you think??? Cute huh? He has had many friend over playing this weekend. Oh and he got the couch from Habitat for Humanity for 15 dollars! What a good deal and it goes to charity!

While I was sleeping......

Since I have been married I have learned something really interesting about myself. You might be thinking that I learned to be a wonderful cook or a great housekeeper....that is not the case. I have learned that I laugh in my sleep....like belly laughing, tears pouring, uncontrollable laughter. I guess I never new this before because obviously I didn't have another person sleeping in my bed with me. The first time this happened Kevin said that I woke him up because I was giggling and then the giggling turned to full blown laughter. In my head I think I know I am laughing, and I ask myself am I really doing this or is this just a dream.?!?!? So the first time Kevin talked to me while I was laughing and I told him through the laughter that I was seeing his face as a blue gusher (like those fruit snacks that squirt out juice.) Well, Kevin's face looked like the girl from Willy Wonka when she turns into a blueberry. Kevin knew that I wasn't awake so he got his phone and recorded that whole thing...so funny! The next morning I remembered the dream, but didn't realize what I had done. I thought wow, that is odd. That brings me to last night! Apparently, I started to chuckle a little and it kept getting louder and louder...now in my head I know I am dreaming, but I didn't think I was laughing out loud. So, Kevin hears me and I start laughing for a good 15 minutes he says I am laughing so hard that I can't get my words out.....I tell him that I am playing kickball and that everyone needs to step back because I can kick really far...someone rolls me the ball and something else kicked the ball not me it went really far up in the sky and I started running to first base....Effie my friend was in the dream and you have to know her, but she tells it like it is and she shouted that I didn't kick the ball that I was not good at kickball...i continued to run past first base instead of going to second base...I told Kevin it was because I was so fast and they needed to know how fast I was. If you know me you are laughing really hard right about now, because you know I can't run to save my life. He said just like that I was back sound asleep. Is that not crazy...I know my dream isn't funny to anyone but me and now Kevin, but I think it so funny how I remember everything about it and when I woke up for school I thought to myself that was a funny dream, it wasn't until Kevin sent me a text this morning and told me my dream that I realized I had really laughed out loud. I asked Kevin what he was thinking while this was going on. He said that he was laughing thinking this is why I love this girl! Isn't that sweet??

I think it is fun how people do funny things when they sleep. I am glad that I laugh because I think laughter truly is the best medicine. I am very light hearted most of the time and I think this reflects who I am! Do you do any funny/weird things when you sleep??

Isn't God GREAT!!!!

Isn't God GREAT!!! My mom says this all the time and it truly is so much fun to say, and believe it. So my appointment went well yesterday. They were running really late in ultrasound, so after meeting new friends in the waiting room I was finally able to go back. They said that I have a tilted uterus, back in the day this was thought cause infertility, but my DR said that is not the case. He sees this all the time. Also, I have 2 cysts on one ovary and 1 on the other! Not the best news, but still it can be fixed. I will go back in a month and see if they are still there. If they are gone I will start Clomid if they are still there I will have a procedure to have them removed. I have never had surgery before, but I am ready if we have to do it...it is about a 4 day recovery, so maybe I can get Kevin to pamper me if I have to it done. Dr. W told me that this is just a bump in the road and he doesn't see anything that might cause K and I to not have children. I wanted to scream and jump up and down. I wanted to so thank you to some people who really have supported me and prayed for me doing this time...I will probably forget someone and if so I am sorry, but I want to document this so I will always know how much God takes care of me.

My family, Kevin's family, Lindsey Johnson and family, Holly Carlise, Tiffaney and Aaron Sharp, Effie Edwards, Debbie Edwards, Emily Eisenach, Wendy Ferrell, Becky and Rex Horne, Kris Smith, Erin Hunt, Shannon Smith, Julie Jones, Lauren Simmons, Nona and Brittani Grubbs, Suzie Mitchell, Lou Anne Jacks and family, Lisa Brown, Natalie and Dayton Cannady, Abb and Jen Childers, Amy and Jason Reaves, Jenny Owens, Kaye Miller, Katie Dudley, Kristen Spigner, Wanda Barrow, Bobbie Blackshear, Melody Brown, Jennifer Reeves, Jennifer Doss, Matt and LeAnna McCraw, Gloria Holmes, Alyssa Jones, LaNeicia Williams, Moneka English, Allison Davis, Diane Lafferty, Vicki Lloyd, Cindy Signaigo, Ashley Chandler, Nancy David and several of my mom retired teacher friends! I know that I didn't even know that some were praying these are just the ones that have called, written me, facebooked me or told me!

Wow! Just think about how important the Power of Prayer is...I vow to be a better a better prayer warrior for people. I was telling a friend last night that it is amazing how much you can feel prayer. It is like something I have never experienced before. I was nervous, but right when they called me back, my nerves were calmed and I had a peace. Isn't God GREAT!

Weekend Re-cap/Tomorrow

Well, we survived the ice storm of 2010! Kevin went to work with his old boss Matt on Saturday and Sunday. He got up really early both days and I just couldn't help but sleep in. I never get to sleep in because Kevin in an early bird and likes me to get up and play on Saturday! I slept till noon on Saturday and 11 yesterday! It was amazing and I really needed it. We had a surprise party for my friend Tiffaney on Saturday night and it was a blast. I got to use my "birthday banner" that I got for my wedding. It looked so cute.

Tomorrow I go in to meet with Dr. W...my tummy does a flip-flop just typing that! I am praying for good results. I have had so many encouraging words from different people and that has gotten me through this week. I keep telling myself this was worse than waiting to have the test run. I will let everyone know what I find out. Here is what I am praying for specifically:

  1. That whatever is wrong will be able to be fixed or that that is just the way I was made so we will work around it.
  2. That I will not have to wait for any results...that we will just know by the time I leave tomorrow what our plan of action is.
  3. That I will be at peace no matter what they tell me.
  4. That I won't sob at the doctor's office...how embarrassing.

Thanks so much for praying. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate it!

Happy Birthday, Sweet Friend!

Today is my friend Effie's birthday! She is another blogger you should check out her blog on the side! Anyway she is the Art teacher at my school and my kids LOVE her! Every year on her birthday my kids make a book for her. I ask them if they had $100 what would they buy Miss Edwards for her birthday....they come up with the cutest stuff. This year my personal favorite is that one little boy wants to buy her a wedding dress for her wedding day. Other child wants to buy her some red high heels!!! So funny! Today during our "Art Time" we are throwing a birthday party. Effie made a cookie cake and my kids can't wait to eat it and celebrate. We also made a chart as you can see in the picture where they guess how old Miss Edwards is!!! This is personally my favorite! She looks pretty good for 100 don't you think???? Happy Birthday, sweet friend!!

Be still....

I am a worrier and always have been and these past few days have about sent me over the edge. I had my HSG on Monday and surprisingly it didn't hurt all that bad...thanks goodness....I had some nice medicine that took the edge off a bit so I think that did the trick. Don't get me wrong it wasn't a walk in the but honestly I think going to get my teeth cleaned at the dentist is much worse. So, the radiologist said that things where my cervix and uterus meet there was something he didn't know what or how to describe it really...and I was doped up on medicine and not really thinking clearly so at the time I couldn't really think of any questions to ask. He said that my doctor would need to an U/S to see what was going on. I waited for my doctor's nurse to call and tell me what my doctor has said...well she called yesterday and freaked me out..she said yes there is something, but they are not sure and I was like well is this serious and she said do you mean life threatening. I checked out at that point and I really can't piece to together everything else that was said. I asked when I could come in and actually speak with my doctor. She said next Tuesday...are you flippin kidding me that is like 7 days away....so what do I do till then?!?!? I have been listening to 'Tis so Sweet to Trust in Jesus on repeat in my car. It is the only thing that relaxes me. I do trust Jesus and I know He has a plan for me, so now I just have to BE STILL and know and trust in Him. I have been overwhelmed with people telling me they are praying for me...it brings me to tears knowing that people care. I know I have been very open on this blog and some people might criticize and say is that really necessary to put on such a public place, but to me it therapy and it helps me...also I want to look back and know where I have walked.

Mr. Jeremiah Bubbly..May you rest in peace!

This week in my classroom we have been talking about pets. My kids have had so much talking about pets, so I decided that I would surprise them today and have them a fish for our class pet. We are supposed to have one anyway in Pre-K, but I hadn't gotten one yet this year since Bubbles Cutie passed last year. Ok, so that brings you to date. I was so excited yesterday when I went to get the Betta fish I stood there for about 20 minutes just looking them all over. I finally picked this bright royal blue male betta. He looked very active and just what I wanted. I brought him home introduced him to Kevin, talked to him all night long and he just peacefully swam. It was great! So, this morning I bring him to school put him in his new home and hid him so I could surprise the kids this was at about 8am. My class came up with several names but we finally voted on Mr. Jeremiah Bubbly! The kids were so excited....about 30 minutes later I look over and he had grown a massive amount of fuzz all over his royal blue body....GROSS! Then he was just laying at the bottom of his tank still breathing but very inactive. About 10 I went to check on him and he had died...are you kidding me...I have 20 four year olds looking up at me asking why he wasn't swimming. I told them he was taking a nap. One child yelled out "that fish is dead". I took him back to the pet store where all the others from yesterday were no longer....guess they all died too...I was trying to do a switch-a-roo on the kids. Oh well, guess I will just come clean and we will have a new fish with a new name next week. More to come!post signature
