Things I ponder.....

  • why do I cry at the drop of a hat and some people never shed tears
  • some people hide the way the feel and for me it is written all over my face
  • are you really defined by if you went to college or not
  • how did the girl in the Olympics that lost her mother suddenly on Sunday perform a breathtaking performance 2 days later?
  • how do some people frown all day long?
  • at what age do you cut your hair and get it permed?
  • why is it so hard to have a quiet time with God when it is way more important than watching tv or doing the other various things I do?
  • what would I do if I won the lottery
  • what it would be like to fit into a size that isn't a double digit.....I mean that would be freakin AWESOME!!! haha!
  • why did I just put the above on a public blog
  • why is getting up in the morning the hardest part of my day
  • when exactly did dinosaurs exist...i confused by this
  • will I ever learn to cook and love it
  • what it would feel like to have a baby kick inside of you....i have always wondered how that would feel...even as a kid!
  • why did my family insist I watch my cousin being born vaginally when I was in 4th grade....yuck I was sick all night!
  • what makes you get chills when you experience something amazing
  • how amazing it will be to meet powerful women of the Bible...Esther, Ruth, Mary, the woman at the well, Rebekah, Hannah, and many many more
  • will they ever find Morgan Nick
  • why do we always want what we can't have

I know this is a very random blog, but this are some things I ponder from time to time. What do you ponder?

U/S Results

Well after waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes I was finally able to get my U/S! The lady that does the u/s got really sick during the u/s right before and ran to the bathroom and remained there for quite some time. At first I was a little annoyed, but when I realized how sick she was I understood. She came back and did my ultrasound and things looked better. My left side still had one small tiny cyst that is no reason for concern. I still have the main cyst on the right side, but it has gotten a lot smaller in just 20 days so that is a good sign. Dr. Wyatt doesn't want to do anything just yet as far as removing it. He wants me to come back in 3 months and see how it is. He doesn't want me to start the Clomid just yet either as he doesn't want to cause the cyst any more problems and Clomid stimulates your ovaries and could cause more harm than good at this point. I was a little bummed because I feel like the next 3 months are just a waste, but I know God is at work. Dr. W said there is no reason why I couldn't get pregnant because the left side looks great, but we will see! Maybe it will happen, but who knows! I feel God is allowing me to walk this path so that I will get closer to Him and I believe that is working!

Ultrasound

Today I am having an U/S at 3:00! They are going to look to see if the cysts are still there or if they have changed in any way. I am guessing we will go from there to decide what to do next. I am going to be honest at first I was like oh if I have to the surgery it will be no big deal .... in my head I know that is true, but the closer it gets to 3 I am like...um Lord, could you please just make those silly things disappear?? I am terrified of hospitals and I have never had any sort of surgery before, but if I have to it will be ok! I do like attention and if I am out for a few days I would love an excuse for lots of visitors, candy, dr. pepper and flowers! I am totally kidding, I want everything to be just fine. So, I will post later and let everyone know how it goes!

My New Love XOXO

I got an iPhone for Valentines day! I am so excited! I have wanted one since they came out and I am kinda cheap, so I have waited and waited for my upgrade. Finally I have one! Kevin feels slightly abandoned since my new love has come to live with us....he can get over it haha! We didn't really do much for V-day, Kevin doesn't like to do much because he feels you should love your wife/husband as if everyday was Valentines day. However, he did propose on Valentines 2 years ago, because that was the one day he knew I wouldn't expect it. He was right! So really he couldn't do anything now to make Valentines more special than it was 2 years ago, so why try....well, there is one thing I would have liked, but we are still waiting on that little bundle of joy! HAHA!!! Did I mention that K got a pool table??? He has turned our garage into a "man cave" he did a really good job and it looks great. I did get to paint a hot pink line for the dart board so I put my touch on the room!

What do you think??? Cute huh? He has had many friend over playing this weekend. Oh and he got the couch from Habitat for Humanity for 15 dollars! What a good deal and it goes to charity!

While I was sleeping......

Since I have been married I have learned something really interesting about myself. You might be thinking that I learned to be a wonderful cook or a great housekeeper....that is not the case. I have learned that I laugh in my sleep....like belly laughing, tears pouring, uncontrollable laughter. I guess I never new this before because obviously I didn't have another person sleeping in my bed with me. The first time this happened Kevin said that I woke him up because I was giggling and then the giggling turned to full blown laughter. In my head I think I know I am laughing, and I ask myself am I really doing this or is this just a dream.?!?!? So the first time Kevin talked to me while I was laughing and I told him through the laughter that I was seeing his face as a blue gusher (like those fruit snacks that squirt out juice.) Well, Kevin's face looked like the girl from Willy Wonka when she turns into a blueberry. Kevin knew that I wasn't awake so he got his phone and recorded that whole thing...so funny! The next morning I remembered the dream, but didn't realize what I had done. I thought wow, that is odd. That brings me to last night! Apparently, I started to chuckle a little and it kept getting louder and louder...now in my head I know I am dreaming, but I didn't think I was laughing out loud. So, Kevin hears me and I start laughing for a good 15 minutes he says I am laughing so hard that I can't get my words out.....I tell him that I am playing kickball and that everyone needs to step back because I can kick really far...someone rolls me the ball and something else kicked the ball not me it went really far up in the sky and I started running to first base....Effie my friend was in the dream and you have to know her, but she tells it like it is and she shouted that I didn't kick the ball that I was not good at kickball...i continued to run past first base instead of going to second base...I told Kevin it was because I was so fast and they needed to know how fast I was. If you know me you are laughing really hard right about now, because you know I can't run to save my life. He said just like that I was back sound asleep. Is that not crazy...I know my dream isn't funny to anyone but me and now Kevin, but I think it so funny how I remember everything about it and when I woke up for school I thought to myself that was a funny dream, it wasn't until Kevin sent me a text this morning and told me my dream that I realized I had really laughed out loud. I asked Kevin what he was thinking while this was going on. He said that he was laughing thinking this is why I love this girl! Isn't that sweet??

I think it is fun how people do funny things when they sleep. I am glad that I laugh because I think laughter truly is the best medicine. I am very light hearted most of the time and I think this reflects who I am! Do you do any funny/weird things when you sleep??

Isn't God GREAT!!!!

Isn't God GREAT!!! My mom says this all the time and it truly is so much fun to say, and believe it. So my appointment went well yesterday. They were running really late in ultrasound, so after meeting new friends in the waiting room I was finally able to go back. They said that I have a tilted uterus, back in the day this was thought cause infertility, but my DR said that is not the case. He sees this all the time. Also, I have 2 cysts on one ovary and 1 on the other! Not the best news, but still it can be fixed. I will go back in a month and see if they are still there. If they are gone I will start Clomid if they are still there I will have a procedure to have them removed. I have never had surgery before, but I am ready if we have to do it...it is about a 4 day recovery, so maybe I can get Kevin to pamper me if I have to it done. Dr. W told me that this is just a bump in the road and he doesn't see anything that might cause K and I to not have children. I wanted to scream and jump up and down. I wanted to so thank you to some people who really have supported me and prayed for me doing this time...I will probably forget someone and if so I am sorry, but I want to document this so I will always know how much God takes care of me.

My family, Kevin's family, Lindsey Johnson and family, Holly Carlise, Tiffaney and Aaron Sharp, Effie Edwards, Debbie Edwards, Emily Eisenach, Wendy Ferrell, Becky and Rex Horne, Kris Smith, Erin Hunt, Shannon Smith, Julie Jones, Lauren Simmons, Nona and Brittani Grubbs, Suzie Mitchell, Lou Anne Jacks and family, Lisa Brown, Natalie and Dayton Cannady, Abb and Jen Childers, Amy and Jason Reaves, Jenny Owens, Kaye Miller, Katie Dudley, Kristen Spigner, Wanda Barrow, Bobbie Blackshear, Melody Brown, Jennifer Reeves, Jennifer Doss, Matt and LeAnna McCraw, Gloria Holmes, Alyssa Jones, LaNeicia Williams, Moneka English, Allison Davis, Diane Lafferty, Vicki Lloyd, Cindy Signaigo, Ashley Chandler, Nancy David and several of my mom retired teacher friends! I know that I didn't even know that some were praying these are just the ones that have called, written me, facebooked me or told me!

Wow! Just think about how important the Power of Prayer is...I vow to be a better a better prayer warrior for people. I was telling a friend last night that it is amazing how much you can feel prayer. It is like something I have never experienced before. I was nervous, but right when they called me back, my nerves were calmed and I had a peace. Isn't God GREAT!

Weekend Re-cap/Tomorrow

Well, we survived the ice storm of 2010! Kevin went to work with his old boss Matt on Saturday and Sunday. He got up really early both days and I just couldn't help but sleep in. I never get to sleep in because Kevin in an early bird and likes me to get up and play on Saturday! I slept till noon on Saturday and 11 yesterday! It was amazing and I really needed it. We had a surprise party for my friend Tiffaney on Saturday night and it was a blast. I got to use my "birthday banner" that I got for my wedding. It looked so cute.

Tomorrow I go in to meet with Dr. W...my tummy does a flip-flop just typing that! I am praying for good results. I have had so many encouraging words from different people and that has gotten me through this week. I keep telling myself this was worse than waiting to have the test run. I will let everyone know what I find out. Here is what I am praying for specifically:

  1. That whatever is wrong will be able to be fixed or that that is just the way I was made so we will work around it.
  2. That I will not have to wait for any results...that we will just know by the time I leave tomorrow what our plan of action is.
  3. That I will be at peace no matter what they tell me.
  4. That I won't sob at the doctor's office...how embarrassing.

Thanks so much for praying. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate it!
